How Can We Ensure A Fire Safe India?

When we talk about fire incidents in India, few major and worse accidents are flashed in our minds. The Fire accident in 1997 at Upahar cinema, New Delhi, The one in 2005 at three fire cracker factories in Bihar, the worst one in the county was in 1995 at Mandi Dabwali, Haryana. All these incidents were caused due to improper and careless Fire safety measures taken. According to the data of NCRB, 2016 on an average 64 deaths/day is the toll that fire accidents take in India. The current fire and life safety regulatory architecture in India is not so efficient and have many flaws in it as a result of which the people have to suffer due to the fire accidents. In current infrastructure also, maintaining fire and life safety norms is not the first priority. Recurring accidents clearly depicts that there is a huge failure in implementing Fire safety norms.
